Brief Profile: Dr. I.Sreenivasa Rao obtained his B.Sc (Ag.) ,M.Sc. (Ag..) and Ph.D in the discipline of Agricultural Extension from APAU, Rajendranagar,Hyderabad in 1984,1986 and 1990 respectively with university gold medal in Ph.D. Joined in NIRD,Hyderabad as Asst.Project Officer in 1991. In 1993 joined as Assistant Professor in APAU, promoted to Associate Professor in 1999 and to the Professor cadre in 2007. A short period of three month worked as Deputy Director In MANAGE,Hyd in ITD project. Dr Rao is a Fellow and Life member of many Extension Education bodies of National and International repute. Widely travelled, Dr Rao has visited China, Thailand, Vietnam, USA, Canada, Indonesia, UAE, Netherlands, & Singapore to deliver talks and attend conferences. He has rich experience in field extension when he was Head , KVK , Vizianagaram dist., administrative experience as Deputy Director of Extension. At present Dr Rao has been actively engaged in the teaching for Under graduate, post graduates and Research Guidance. He has been the guest faculty to many Institutions and training centres specially topics related to communication, adoption, personality development etc. He has 63 publications in reputed peer reviewed International and National journals, 20 popular articles, & 2 book chapters.
