Brief Profile: Prof. Reddy has a rich academic background and has about 21 years of teaching, training and administrative experience in the university. He was the Associate Dean of Agricultural College, Aswaraopet, PJTSAU, Telangana State during 2013 - 2016 and presently working as Principal Agril. Information Officer in theUniversity. His areas of interests include Capacity building of Extensionfunctionaries, Extension Planning & Management, People’s Participation, Administration, Transfer of Technology, Bringing out Publications. As a Major advisor, he guided 16 M.Sc. (Ag.) / M.Sc. (H.Sc.) / M.Sc. (Horti.) Extension Education students and One Ph.D (Extension Education ) student. Dr. Reddy contributed over 50 Research Papers to leading national journals and edited five books. As a Chief Editor published 34 Vyavasayam (Agriculture), Monthly farm magazines and 2 Vyavasaya Panchangams, 1 Telangana Vyavasayam (Farmers Almanac), An annual publication and 3 Volumes of The Journal of Research, PJTSAU were also published as Managing Director of Scientific journal of the university.He executed one ICAR Adhoc Research Scheme entitled “Promotion of Perennial Green Leafy Vegetables through people’s intervention. He has greatly involved in Monitoring and Evaluation of the Developmental Projects funded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development. The areas include Agril. Technology Management Agency, Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana- Agriculture and Fisheries, High Value Agriculture in Andhra Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar islands. As a Course Director, 37 ‘On campus’ and 25 ‘off campus’ training programmes organized for the Extension Officers of Development Departments of Southern India. As a Training Director, O & RT Unit conducted 4 Pedagogy, 2 Orientation and Financial Management Training programmes for the faculty of ANGRAU under AHRD programme financed by the World Bank. Five consultancy trainings on SRI for the farmers of Maharastra State were organised as Coordinator. He conducted 10 consultancy trainings on Operationalisation of ATMA and SREP for the officers of Dept of Agriculture and Food Production, Govt. of Odisha as Training Coordinator. Dr. Reddy organized 6 Regional workshops on Training Need Assessment of Southern India states for finalization of Training calendars of Extension Education Institute ( Southern Region). Five national level exhibitions were conducted by him to showcase the technologies of the university. He is the recipient of ICAR Best Teacher Award and Bapatla Agril. College Silver Jubilee Gold Medal. He is associated with five professional bodies located in India.
